Let's take a look at the wiring of the APR3H series of SCR power controllers.
First connect the three-phase power supply to the power controller, and then to the load. Here is an example of a star connection with 3 U-type heating tubes.
The power supply of the controller.
The control signal of the controller can be a 4-20mA signal from a temperature controller connected to terminals 2 and 4; a 0-5V or 0-10V PWM signal connected to terminals 4 and 5; or a 10kΩ sliding potentiometer connected to terminals 1, 3 and 4.
The loads can only be resistive, such as lights and heating devices, and cannot be used for the speed control of motors. In the next episode, we will introduce the working principle of the power controller. Thank you for watching, and goodbye!
