How to Wire an SCR Power Module with a Temperature Controller?

This video demonstrates the wiring of an SCR power control module.

First, connect the main circuit in sequence: three-phase power supply, power controller, and heater.

Here, we use three U-shaped heating tubes connected in a star configuration as an example.

Next, connect the control circuit, using a 4-20mA temperature controller as an example.

Connect the positive and negative control signal wires to the 4-20mA and COM terminals, respectively.

Alternatively, a PLC output can also serve as the control signal.

The SCR power controller is typically used for resistive heating loads.

Note that it should not be used for motor speed control.

Thank you for watching, and goodbye!

Module Type of SCR Power Controllers

Our modular SCR power controllers, the APR3M and LSCR3 series, are designed to be compact and economical.
